Interdisciplinary artist Zhanna Kadryova was born in Brovary, Ukraine in 1981. She completed her studies in the sculpture department of the Taras Shevchenko State Art School in Kyiv, yet went on to explore mosaic, photography, video, installation and performance as well as sculpture as a medium. Her work, often interrogating social, historical and urban themes, has been exhibited worldwide including at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington), Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein (Vaduz), Museum of Modern Art Warsaw and at the Centre Pompidou (Paris). Previously a member of the R.E.P. (Revolution Experimental Space), Kadryova continues to question contemporary social issues from her studio in Kyiv.
